Outcomes and Results:
Lasted more than an hour, the atmosphere during the presentation was very interactive. All the people in the class were interested in the project. Both the students and professors of the class not only suggested various channels for us to disseminate the project but also Interesting activities in order to make our Turkish database richer in the context of translations. For instance, they suggested to include the economic texts translation in the Ottoman language. Arising from this suggestion, we thought about forming a research group that would search for the texts of Ottoman language in the economic and social sciences. However, this is not an easy task since we need people who knows the Ottoman language, which uses a completely different alphabet than we have now.
Concerning the research paper activity, we asked for 1 or 2 research papers from Science and Technology Studies in Middle East Technical University.
Students were motivated and they seemed to be willingness in this sense. We will send "Call for Papers" to the STPS 507 class students this month. We expect their contribution to the project in research paper activity.
